The presentation entitled "The challenge to take rights of Nature seriously in Bolivia" analyses the recognition of the rights of Nature in Bolivia, as well as the evolution of these rights in a country such as Bolivia. Furthermore it also deals with the challenge of the fostering and enforcement of such rights. The Bolivian experience of granting rights to Nature, together with the strengths and limitations of such a policy, provides some very useful lessons to other countries worldwide.  It also emphasises the importance of a paradigm shift from antropocentrism to ecocentrism.
