Mahlatse Innocent Maake-Malatji is passionate about research, education, law, and development. Before joining North-West University, she served as a Law Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu Natal teaching various modules including Constitutional Law, Legal Diversity, and Introduction to Law. In addition, Mahlatse served as a Law Researcher at the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA); a researcher for a project between the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (UCT) for Cases on Open Learning (COOL Project); and student assistant, facilitator, coordinator, and research assistant at UCT for a Dispute Resolution Course for Law@work (an initiative with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration-CCMA). In addition, she worked as a Research Clerk for the Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU) and as a Coordinator at Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) at UCT. Mahlatse is now teaching Constitutional Law at NWU, Potchefstroom.
