He is currently Senior Counsel and has previously practiced privately as an advocate, State advocate and prosecutor as well as Clerk of the Court, Court interpreter and public prosecutor for the Department of Justice. His current professional activities include being a commissioner at the South African Law Reform Commission. Dr Senatle’s current and historic professional affiliation with the South African Law Reform Commission as Commissioner, the Legal Practice Council, the Black Lawyers’ Association, National Democratic Lawyers’ Association, the General Bar Council of South Africa and the South African Development Community Lawyers’ Association is proof of his active participation in the development of the legal profession in South Africa.
