Overview

The Faculty's short learning programmes on mediation will be redeveloped into open distance learning programmes, so that candidates can complete the theoretical training wherever they are. We did not have enough applications to proceed with the 2019 courses, distance and time out of office were the main reasons. A shorter contact period will be required for the practical component of the training if the theoretical part is web based. The new format will only be rolled out in 2020.

Any member of the public may enrol for any of these courses, should they comply with the admission criteria for the specific programme. Both programmes have been approved by the NWU Institutional Committee on Academic Standards. They comply with the prescribed 40-hour formal training and standards set by the court-annexed mediation rules as one of the requirements for registration as a mediator.

We will gladly offer any of these as an in-house training programme adapted to your particular needs.
